Winter Camp 2018
It’s Winter Camp time!
We have been planning, preparing, and praying for you and your youth. Camp continues to demonstrate its value in the transformation we witness each season. Not only do the kids experience God’s love but you, the leader, are certainly brought into the mix to lead and to be ministered to. We care about you and desire God’s very best for you. We hope to see you in January—Winter Camp is going to be great!
This year’s camp will be held from January 12th-14th at Camp Hickory. The cost for ‘early bird’ is $100 by December 13th, for ‘regular’ it is $110 by January 3rd and $135 for ‘late’ which is after January 3rd. All materials need to be postmarked by the previous dates for the pricing to apply. We will not be doing online registration. You may have noticed we left the cost portion blank on the student and leader forms. We do that so you can adjust your advertised price to cover any expenses, such as travel.
We have also included the option for leaders and students to purchase, in advance, our long sleeved camp shirts at a discounted rate of $11. If anyone is interested please have them mark their form accordingly and include the payment by the January 3rd deadline. Shirts will not be available for pre-order after January 3rd. We will have a few to purchase for the full price of $15 during camp.
This year’s theme, “Reaching Out” is based on Esther 5:1-3:
Now it came about on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace in front of the king’s rooms, and the king was sitting on his royal throne in the throne room, opposite the entrance to the palace. 2 When the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight; and the king extended to Esther the golden scepter which was in his hand. So Esther came near and touched the top of the scepter. 3 Then the king said to her, “What is troubling you, Queen Esther? And what is your request? Even to half of the kingdom it shall be given to you.””
What we want our teens to take away from camp is that God is waiting for them. He loves them and all they need to do is reach out and listen to what He has for us and we can be a part of His story!
