Introducing the HD Symposium Series
As a new culture evolves, it is important that we leaders continue to learn and develop to advance the Kingdom, make disciples, and preach the Gospel. The Heartland District is launching four, free events in 2016 that we are calling the “HD Symposium Series” (HDSS), aimed at helping leaders continue to grow in their leadership and effectiveness to the culture and context in which they serve.
The first HDSS will be February 16th at Camp Hickory from 10am to 4pm. Our time together will feature Dr. Soong Chan Rah, who will present a lecture and lead a conversation on Cultural Intelligence and learning to contextualize to the culture around us, not just our own. This may include generations, ethnic differences, post modernism, and non church culture. This event is free, open to all leaders and lunch will be provided.
The second HDSS will feature Dr. Daniel Brown, who will be leading the conversation on the Foursquare’s Four-stage Model. This Symposium will be done twice in two locations on separate dates.
The first will be held on March 12th from 10am to 4pm at New Castle Foursquare Church (New Castle, IN).
The second event (same subject) will be held March 19th from 10am to 4pm at Riverside Foursquare Church (Le Claire, IA).
There are also currently two more HD Symposium Series events planned for late summer and early fall. We will announce once those dates, speakers and locations are confirmed.
